Lorenzo Beltrame
DIRECTOR OF TENNIS
Lorenzo Beltrame has been involved in tennis all his life, first as a top junior, then as a professional player and ultimately as a coach. Throughout his coaching career, he has worked with dozens of ATP and WTA touring professionals including Jim Courier and Pete Sampras. He has traveled extensively coaching players in major professional events including the four Grand Slams, Davis Cup, and Hopman Cup.
Lorenzo has served as Director of Tennis at the Human Performance Institute, formerly LGE Performance Systems, in Orlando, Florida since 1996. Prior to joining the Human Performance Institute he was responsible for developing programs at Tennis Club Ambrosiano, the largest tennis club in Milan, Italy, and at two of the leading tennis academies in the United States.
Lorenzo is a registered coach of the WTA Tour, holds both the USPTR and USPTA ‘Professional One’ certification, and is certified as Maestro by the Italian Tennis Federation. He is also an ACE certified personal trainer, and a USTA specialist in competitive player development. Lorenzo is a regular contributor for Florida Tennis Magazine and has spoken at regional, national, and international coaching conventions.

Michael Florence
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH
Michael Florence is the Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Human Performance Institute, where he is responsible for player development of all professional and junior athletes. He has trained a variety of athletes from the NFL, NBA, WTA, ATP, PGA, and IRL racing. Michael’s current clients include football player Keydrick Vincent, a starter for the Baltimore Ravens, basketball’s Nigel Dixon, and golfers Camilo Benedetti and Mike Henderson.
Prior to coming to the Human Performance Institute, Michael was a Strength and Conditioning coach at the University of Kentucky for 15 years. His responsibilities included developing strength training programs and year-round training for twelve varsity sports. During his tenure at the University of Kentucky, Michael helped produce 2 Olympic Silver Medalists, 35 All-Americans, 29 All-SEC players, 8 All-MAC players, 5 NSCA All-Americans, 30 players drafted by the NFL, 3 Bowl Games, 3 SEC Basketball Championships, a first round pick in the MLB draft, a Women’s Soccer SEC Tournament Championship and SEC Player of the Year, and a Men’s Tennis 1st Place SEC Team.
Michael Florence graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Michael competed for the University in powerlifting. He was the 220 lbs Region VI Collegiate Champion and Collegiate National Qualifier, 220 lbs Kentucky State Powerlifting Champion, and Best Lifter Award recipient. He also won the 242 lbs Kentucky State Powerlifting Championship and was State Record holder in the 220 lbs, 242 lbs, and 275 lbs weight classes. Michael is a member of the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) and CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist).

Raquel C. Malo, MS, RD, LD/N
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF EXECUTIVE TRAINING
DIRECTOR OF NUTRITION
As Senior Vice President of Executive Training and Director of Nutrition for the Human Performance Institute, Raquel trains thousands of top corporate executives of Fortune 500 companies every year and helped design and implement the Full EngagementTM Nutrition program component.
She specializes in keynote speaking and group facilitation. Raquel possesses a Master of Science degree in Nutrition from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Florida. She is a Registered Dietitian and she has specialized in Pediatric Nutrition.
Raquel has published and presented scientific findings from her nutrition research in a variety of professional publications. She frequently makes appearances on national radio and television as
a nutrition expert. Her professional experiences include working as a community Clinical Dietitian in Dallas, Texas, and as a Pediatric/Maternal Dietitian for the Department of the U.S. Army. Raquel has also developed a national nutrition education and weight control program for online use. She is on the Latino Advisory Board for PepsiCo, advising on Latino issues especially around health and wellness. Raquel’s professional interests include nutrition behavior modification and disordered eating patterns. She speaks Spanish fluently and enjoys salsa dancing and rock climbing.

Chris Jordan, MS, CSCS, NSCA-CPT, ACSM HFI/APT
VICE PRESIDENT OF FACILITATOR TRAINING
DIRECTOR OF FITNESS
Chris Jordan is the Vice President of Facilitator Training, responsible for the Train-the-Trainer Program. As the Director of Fitness for the Human Performance Institute, Chris manages the development and execution of all corporate fitness programming. He holds a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology with distinction from the Leeds Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biological Sciences from University of West England in Bristol, in the United Kingdom.
Prior to joining Human Performance Institute, Chris was the Fitness Program Consultant for the U.S. Air Force in Europe, based at Royal Air Force Lakenheath base in the United Kingdom, and an exercise physiologist at the British Army Personnel Research Establishment of the Ministry of Defence. He has published research in the Journal of Sports Sciences, and has written over 50 articles for U.S. Air Force publications, the ‘Army Health Connection’ newsletter, Florida Tennis, Men’s Health Magazine, and Best Life Magazine.
Chris is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Health Fitness Instructor and Advanced Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. He also holds an Exercise and Pregnancy Instructor certification and is an American Red Cross Certified First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor. He is a Full member of the NSCA, ACSM, British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences, and the United Kingdom Strength and Conditioning Association.
